The Oscars: 2026's 98th Academy Awards, 7:00pm EST March 15th ABC

"She has been in 74 films, and he was in 74 films last year. Sigourney Weaver and Pedro Pascal."
😅🤣

After the nominees for Best Documentary Feature Film, before announcing the winner:
"Oh man, he is gonna be pissed that his wife wasn't one of these nominees."

😅😅😅

Watched most of the films nominated this year. Still need to see Sentimental Value and Frankenstien (no desire to see this one)

1. Marty Supreme
2. OBAA
3. Hamnet
4. If I had legs I'd kick you
5. Bugonia
6. Sinners
7. Wake up dead man
8. Blue Moon
9. The Smashing Machine
10. Weapons

Maybe because I'm big on Sci-fi tv shows, ie Farscape, Stargate, BSG, Star Trek, Babylon 5 etc and have seen the concept done a ton of times I don't rate Bugonia as highly as other folks. I guess maybe that's how horror folks feel about Sinners.

I love Yorgos.

But the ending of Bugonia was just way to obvious, and way too telegraphed.

And ultimately left a sour taste in my mouth.

Watched part of the Oscar's last night and besides Sinners I ain't seen nothing:lol and apparently I haven't missed nothing. I guess MBJ had his humiliation ritual at the BAFTA''s :rollin he good now

Really? Can't really say any of those shows really did the concept in a similar way. There've been average to classic conspiracy EPS with the concept but I think there's something to say about the premise as well. All those are futuristic space shows.

If anything, it's the acting by Plemons and Watson that took it to another level for me

It's a remake that was inspired by Misery.

Yorgos was not changing that ending. Props on being able to tell all of humanity dies in the end cuz she's actually is an alien.

id spoiler that because i think people should still watch it. its a good movie.

i didn't even realize it was an adaptation until the oscars. so i get why he's not changing it.

but i just think the cultural context of the current moment, makes the "actually the deranged conspiracy theorist are right" hit different.

Great acting by those two of course. Of course they're all not exactly the same, I more just mean I'm overconditioned to these weird concepts at this point. I do love it, just saying just recently I literally watch the these humans are actually aliens conspiracy thing on Stargate which isn't futuristic.

Oh that angle. Well yeah but I did manage to leave the real world at the door while watching so I didn't let that creep in to my suspicions.

One Battle is absolutely worth watching.
I actually plan on seeing that but forgot since it wasn't in the segment I saw. There's something else I wanted to see last year but I'll wait for the free. Sinners was my only mo in theater visit last year :(
