You got a legit surround sound system or you mean a soundbar with a subwoofer and a couple speakers
I don't have any experience with legit surround sound systems but for my Dolby atmos soundbar I just use an HDMI cord to connect the two. And plug the subwoofer/speakers into an outlet. The soundbar and all the other stuff automatically connect to each other. I just had to make the tv/speakers decode digital signals to Bitstream and that part was what I figured out last
