Real talk I think Kanye is kind of a once in a lifetime situation, I dont think no other rapper can really move his own sneaker. I aint talking about collabs or colorways, I mean a completely new model. Kanye is looked at as fashion icon, Drake gets clowned on the regular for his fashion choices. These brands just burning money hoping to replicate the success (Under Armour signed A$AP Rocky for christ sake)

Those companies like under armor can try but they can't recreate Kanye west raw talent and his gifts. The dude has a background In the arts and not just music, he has tons of ideas which I think he can't really excute properly sometimes but he has full control in adidas than he has at Nike. Athletes like Lebron can give ideas and give suggestions on how they want thier shoe too look, but they can't do what Kanye does by actually drawing and creating a shoe for the masses.

Sneakers, PC hardware components (graphic cards, RAM sticks), ******* gaming consoles, you name it..........we're entering an era where ANYTHING HYPED is being camped out and cart botted online.

As a consumer that **** is exhausting though, its mad **** I passed on that I actually liked but the effort to attain it just wasn't worth it to me. I saw Adidas was alienating people with their ******* like a year or too back so sheep hopped back on the swoosh for a minute. Then when the Air Max 1's dropped last March people got pissed (me included) and just said **** it. That gave these quieter brands room to operate

Stuff like that is a true test to see if you really want said product. Now people can justify impulse/hype buys, but just flipping it and reselling it, but that's a whole other niche within itself lol

They've made a noticeable comeback as well (never stopped liking them but media eating them up again), I forgot who but one of the big alcohol companies paid a customizer and to make a few pairs that they gave away for some contest. I think sportscenter covered it briefly

Nike had a hit so they ran with it and made money. I have like 3 QS pairs. Once the Roshe 2 drop that's when they really flopped. They should just throw them in vault and give it 4-8 years to retro them.
