the thread about nothing...

Good self restraint.

I've bought a few pairs but mostly cheapo workout shoes and nothing over $50 (including shipping). I think I'll treat myself to 1 pair of jordans (13s or 14s) and be done for the year.
I did well until September. Up to that point i had only purchased 3 shoes back in March during a 40 percent off glitch. I did pick up two pairs during the summer for over 50 percent off retail. Then in September Adidas started marking stuff down so i picked up 3 more pairs on deeeeep discounts (over 65 percent off retail). Then the stuff I wanted started to come out. My good year went real bad real quick.

Now that I think about. Only bought 3 shoes this year and only one I paid retail which was checkered vans back in January. Adidas that retailed for $130 got it for $40 and Nike soccer cleats for $80

i bought only 1 pair this year. black cement 3s when i was in taipei. the jordan flagship store had them in my size so i was “yeah why not” first pair of jordans i ever owned

The older I get, the more infantile and redundant I think collecting sneakers is. No offense to anyone who thinks otherwise. It makes no sense to have all these shoes and most of them will never see the light of day.

Exactly, same here. Plus, I feel like my money can go a longer way by picking up stuff for my other less expensive hobbies. I'd only maybe wear Jordans on the weekend. Maybe.

All good, the seed has been planted already and you'll follow through eventually.

Remember playing with this exact Transformer when i was a youngin. It was my uncle's.

That's not a transformer though, it's the Robot from the cartoon Voltron. I personally watched both as a kid.

Voltron came out before transformers?

I was retired from the sneaker game for several years until a couple years ago when I had the itch and the money to buy. But now I think I am truly done.

All my kicks get worn, been like this since high school. I know people are straight up collectors with older kicks, but anything new or if it’s limited I’m still gonna wear it.

And I don’t collect sneakers I utilize them for basketball or casual wear.

But much respect. Sometimes I wish I wasn’t into sneakers and was like regular joe wearing some non-popular from like famous footwear.

But I’m not a regular joe. My kicks gotta be fresh and they gotta look good.
