Thanks man. Yup, car accident and it was the other driver's fault.

I was actually reading the coverage on my insurance and it states that they only cover 2 weeks of rental. When I first reported it to my insurance, they kept insisting that I can go through them. I'm like naw.

This whole ordeal has been a headache.

bruh that part is wild. when my car was hit, my insurance party was hella quick to advise that i go thru the other party's insurance, namely because my deductible was a $1,000. they wouldve collected it back for me but I don't think they wanted to go thru the hassle.

hope your situation gets rectified sooner rather than later. not sure what the details of the accident are but glad to hear you were able to walk away from it physically unscathed. If the rental is now on your dime, maybe to save some loot, return the current rental, pay the difference and then rent the cheapest option available?

and yeah efff car insurance. Talk about a pyramid scheme. Been in 1 accident my whole life (rear ended at a stop light) was other dudes fault my insuance didn't pay a dime. So basically I've paid for car insurance for 18 years and received no benefit at all. My estimate on that is about $17k....so the next time i get into an accident and potentially total my car i should have that money to just go cop a new one for cash...but nope...i will get paid out the $1k my car is worth and told good luck
