That’s rugby 7s - a shortened version of the game - sort of like 3x3 instead of basketball. They play tournaments of it so you can play multiple rounds all in a day - proper rugby is more like football in that they usually only play again a week later.
7s is tough to play - it’s not quite as physical as the regular game but because it’s played on a regular field there’s tons of running.

I went the longest time without real plates in my house. I'd just go spend 10 - 15 bucks in 160 plates from Walmart every 2 weeks.
Got tired of throwing 30 bucks a month into the trash, went to the dollar store and got me some real plates. Still got those plates today. Held up well.
Hit a dollar store. Just don't buy the glass cups.
