The In-n-Out by my work has a narrow, curbed on both sides drive through path. Thought I curbed my rear passenger rim. Luckily, my tires have the “rim protector” lip that sticks out a little further. When I got back to the office, I breathed a sigh of relief! No damage.
My previous car had Dunlop’s with the same outer lip. On the last tire change I did, the price had gotten ridiculous for those Dunlop’s, I opted for Toyo’s instead, which didn’t have that lip. Big mistake. Ended up curbing one of my rims one day.

My whole neighborhood is now gossiping about my psycho neighbor
I recently posted about hearing the extremely loud noise of the psycho's son screaming his lungs out at ~10pm while he was getting eviscerated by one of the nutjob's German Shepherds.
Kid's about 14-15 and screamed for his life for a solid minute while the psycho neighbor was screaming at the dogs to "get off", along with some loud noises that might've been an attempt to beat the dog into submission.
It now turns out they didn't take the son to the ER and they didn't even call an ambulance, probably to avoid a paper trail stating that their own dog did it. The injury had to have been pretty bad, those dogs don't play around and it looks like a lot of people in our street heard the screaming. There was a Facebook post in the town's FB group where some old lady further down my street asked about 'very loud screaming'. The post was quickly deleted though, so I'm guessing someone informed them. This person is way further down my street so loads of people must've heard this kid getting torn to shreds.
My landlord seems to know damn near everyone and told me there's a lot of talking going around. Apparently loads of people heard the screaming but I'm guessing they didn't overhear the specific dialogue. Naturally my landlord was kind enough to provide them with the exact details of what I overheard.
I overheard the psycho's wife saying "they've never done that" and "put [the dogs] back in their cage" but haven't overheard anything since then.
Today I saw the son though when I got on my bike to get some groceries. Kid was limping hard on the driveway.
For reference about why this dude is a total psycho:
My only face to face interaction with him was when he came to my door screaming wild death threats and destroying several of my flower pots by kicking them repeatedly.
For the most part I just laughed at him, made sarcastic remarks etc while secretly recording the audio in my back pocket. He eventually got so mad after I responded to some of his nonsense by responding "sure, whatever, you done [yapping] or what?" that he pushed open my door and put his fist right infront of my face, which is when his wife came running and pulled him away. While he wife was dragging him, he escaped her grasp and managed to destroy an additional flower pot. His wife grabbed him again but he got in a couple more death threats.
So I immediately went to the police with my recordings but they said there's nothing they can do besides sending in a 'neighborhood watch' cop to politely tell the nutjob to behave.
I literally asked them if it would've been more beneficial for me (in terms of punishing this nutjob) to get punched and they quickly said yes.
I then went to the neighbor's house to provide them with a copy of the police report, however only his wife was home. Turns out she's actually pretty nice and calm, even inviting me for a coffee despite me explicitly stating that I was only coming by to inform her that I filed a police report against her husband. Because she seemed nice and reasonable, I told her she's always welcome to come to my door but if I see her husband again I'm calling the cops and leaking the death threat recordings. The whole time she didn't seem mad or anything, she still grabbed me a drink directly after I handed her the police report. I expected her to be furious but she didn't show any hostility. At most she tried to dispute a specific death threat but she immediately dropped it when I played part of the audio recording.
Since then she's come by a couple times for things like a misplaced delivery etc, always very cordial and nice. No issues at all, zero hostility.
The psycho nutjob on the other hand has repeatedly called my landlord, always screaming at him. My landlord is a cool dude but he's also very petty. He doesn't ignore the phonecalls, he picks them up just to laugh at him and then hang up. One of those calls was the nutjob screaming at my landlord about a tiny patch of weeds on my landlord's property that was visible from one particular upstairs window. The psycho was screaming about how that single patch of weeds ruined his view. My landlord has kept the patch just out of pure spite.
Since then my landlord has seemingly made it his mission to dig up dirt on the guy and casually bring it up with people.
The psycho runs a construction business and one of the stories someone told to my landlord was that a local couple wanted to hire the psycho but immediately kicked him out and picked a different contractor when he called their dog an "abomination" and started bragging about his own German Shepherds within minutes of their first meeting in person.
Another local from a neighboring town also told my landlord that the psycho originally used to live in that town but the neighbors basically exiled him by complaining about his dogs. Not sure what the complaints were or whether they were ever filed, but apparently it was enough to bully the psycho out of town.
Given that I've now heard one of those dogs viciously biting his own son, I'm guessing the complaints in that other town weren't just about excessive barking.
Honestly it's insane that he hasn't immediately gotten rid of them. Both of the German Shepherds are locked in a pretty small cage in their backyard and only come out maybe twice a day from what I heard. I assume now they don't get out at all.
That kid probably gets chills whenever he hears them barking. How do you sleep or even function properly when you're repeatedly confronted with barking from the same dog that just tried to shred you?
Still not sure what his wife's all about either. Idk if he abuses her or what but I can't wrap my head around her being a normal calm and collected person while being married to the most unhinged lunatic I've ever met.
