My brother just got home from doing 30 years
And he hasn’t called his daughter since he been home
Dude talking about it’s goi g to take some time to work on their relationship
Mind you last week he was on my phone talking about he can’t wait to get home to focus on their relationship
Now he’s talking about when he was locked up his daughter didn’t make a effort to build a relationship then so why is she trying to build one now
Which pissed me the **** off he sound like he’s talking about a ex girlfriend and not his child

that sounds crazy…
but the reality of actually being out from behind them bars after three decades…i couldn’t imagine what that would be like except to think that it would be difficult & there be a lot of complex & conflicted emotions about how his life has played out this far; so on some level you have give him some grace & let him talk himself through it or by asking questions to examine why he feels differently now that he is ahhtside…ona waaaaay lighter note:
