the thread about nothing...

I have no clue on what to get my moms for Mother’s Day this year

I think I’ve bought her everything already 😂

Honestly I got to that point too since my parents are in their mid 70s. So I end getting them gift cards to restaurants. My parents are simple so I get them a plethora of gift cards. My dad loves Pollo Loco and Yoshinoya so I hook him up with those, sometimes in n out and Chilis. I usually try to do like 4-5 different gift cards so they don't have to cook on days they're just being retired and chillin.

I had an epiphany this morning and realized I’m pretty much done with the rat race.

My wife and I have been debating how to keep our house when we move out of state, because our interest rate is too good to give up.. but I realized we’re moving away to get away from quite a few things. One of those things is the need for all this money we dream of, to do whatever with.

I can’t be ready to live a life of simplicity / “away from it all” if I’m still looking back at an investment or a hopeful cash cow. That dawned on me this morning.

As stupid as it may be.. I think the best decision for my peace of mind and the life we want is to sell it and move on.
Where’s it at I need a property if the price is right?

It’s not stupid twin, I’m about to do the same when I can. Liquidate it all and retire at 55. F it I’m not trying to work forever for stuff I don’t even care about.

I don’t even know when / if my retirement will be twin. I just know I don’t want to constantly be looking at this house, the tenants, stressing over damages and deposits and rent increases and all that.

I want to look completely ahead and focus on building a life I love, with less stress and less of a need or want to excel financially for material things I don’t need.

I just don’t feel like this is a place I want to be old at. :lol

It’s not chill at all, expensive af with expensive healthcare.

I could deal with the cost if there were more pros but I’m really not seeing a ton.

You can have nice things anywhere without all the extra baggage and the feel of being extorted all the time.

And yeah I wouldn’t want to be a land lord at all. :lol

Main reason I fw Adidas over Nike is because they have a proper rewards program. I copped 2 pair BW armies and already racked up $30 or 20% off my next purchase and hardly anything outside of Yeezys or Pharrell’s is excluded from the discount. Nike on the other hand has basically no rewards system and damn near every popular model is excluded from promo codes. Nike needs to get off their high horse, that’s why they been losing traction in the market for the past years and J’s and Dunks are starting to sit like crazy while constantly raising the prices for no reason.
