the thread about nothing...

For me, reading the instruction manual was a must before playing any new game. Just kind of a mini-ritual to get ready when I was a kid and growing up. I was a little disappointed when they stopped caring about them.

Not me, I got right to it. I learn mostly by doing.

Used to do that as a kid when we didn't leave the mall right after i got the game :lol

I've never read a game manual and thought that it was useful.

The dudes who'd learn some secret about the game but would keep it to themselves like they invented it.

The biggest dbags of my childhood.

Lemme see the controller.

Watch this.

How the .... did you do that?

I can't tell you...it's a secret.

Like Antidope said, they used to be more elaborate and interesting. I don't know how old you are... so maybe they've always been bare for you, but when I was a kid it was usually interesting and cool to read about it beforehand.

You actually used those to learn how to play? :lol

I'd guess it would have something to do with, ya know, not destroying the environment to make directions that most people don't use.

I just got injustice I would like to know how to kick, punch and grab people lol. Also any time I get a cd/game I like lookin through the booklets. That destroying the environment can't be the reason cause they gave me a 5 page product catalog with it :lol

5 page product catalog? Dang :lol
I was just kidding though, I use to love scanning throught those booklets. :(

You mentioning that brings back the memory of the Street Fighter 2 booklet I had and it had the character bios in it :lol
