lets say,

girl 1 is a really good girl.  raised with class, graduated college, etc etc.  

guy 1 is a multimillionaire entrepreneur

The girl can pay for as much dinners and shopping sprees as she wants but it still can't match the money he can make at work.  therefore he equates the potential loss while spending time with the yambs he's chasing.  

My Opinion:

In this case, paying the cost is financially beneficial for both parties.  Guy should put a ring on it if he sees her a good fit to be a wife.

another example..

girl - simple and thick -- easily impressed, seeks attention, 

guy - works a 9-5 - never late on rent - yambless 

Simple girl and hardworking guy don't have much in common.  The only thing guy wants from girl is the yambs and the only thing girl 1 wants is someone to make her feel good.  both can be accomplished with relative ease and would benefit both parties.

My Opinion:

In this case, tricking is NOT recommended.  However, if the girl is too demanding while spending time and if an easy code to the yambs is a bottle of nice wine and a dinner, tricking can speed up the process.
