I feel for this lil man.... I went through my stuff last night and gave him a bunch of t-shirts I have that are too big for me, some of the stuff was even new. And some cargo shorts and basketball shorts. My heart heavy for this kid, my moms went thru this as a shorty, and she made it in life to be able to provide for both my younger brother and I, so I know that even though times are rough for this kid, he can still pull through man. He happened to be my size in shoes so I gave him a pair of Air Uptempo 2's that were brand new and a gift card I had got from Target for $20 not too long ago. It's not much, I wish we could do more for him, I truly do I met him before and he's a cool %%* kid. Guess he got kicked out of his parents crib, but was still going to work everyday so he ain't on bs.
Just makes you take a step back and appreciate all we have man.
You're a good man
I remember a couple months ago my friend came over with one of her friends and her boyfriend and the second day they were there her bf gets a call and he looked real disappointed and he turned to their friend and told him that his dad said he can't stay with them. Come to find out Justin (the friend) got kicked out of his house for no reason, his dad just got all of his stuff and left it packed and told him to leave, so he started panicking and didn't know where to go, I've never met Justin before, I've only known him for a day but he was cool as hell, so on the last day I went ahead and told him that he stay in the guest room rent free till he gets back on his feet. Dude had a huge smile on his face and just said "You don't even know me but you'd let me stay here?"
He had $900 in his bank account but his parents froze his account, his aunt ended up calling him and said he can stay with her but I told him if things didn't work out with his aunt there'll always be a room for him here.
reminds me of this girl I know. She was adopted when she was like 10. Shes from Cali, but she moved with her family to NC for her senior year of high school. Literally the day she turned 18, her parents kicked her out with nowhere to go. She decided to move back to Cali, and was sleeping on her friends couch when I met her. Eventually her and her friend got into it, and the friend kicked her out with nowhere to go. I had to help her move into a homeless shelter in LA, which broke my heart, one of the worst days of my life.
Eventually her and her friend reconciled their differences, and she ended up staying with her again. I drove to see her, got her registered for school, and to put in a few job apps. I hope shes doing good now
