- Live on-campus with a roommate.
- New roommate moves in.
- Three of us are talking about girls.
- Old roommate says to new roommate (about me) "he's only in love with one girl who he never worked up the nerve to talk to," then says her name.
- I get mad because he threw my business out there without letting me bring up said girl first.
- He says he was joking, it was locker room talk, him and his friends do it all the time, and I'm acting feminine.
- Was my anger justified?

Thanks for the input, if it means anything, I repped you guys. After I thought about it last night, I did think I overreacted, but, like Bombbiggidyphil said, I still think he should've respected my wish of keeping it private. I definitely get the guy talk aspect, I do it all the time, but there's just certain things that I think shouldn't be brought up unless whoever in the group it's about is cool with it. We haven't talked since the argument because I think we're both a little salty over the whole thing, so it'll just have to blow over at this point...
Did you tell him that you didn't want dude to talk it about before?

Yeah, he mentioned it before in front of someone else and I asked him if he could just keep it between us because I didn't want anyone knowing and he understood. Now fast-forward to yesterday, he claims he doesn't remember that conversation and he "swore" on it. And actually, this was the third time he brought it up in front of someone. The first time I asked him to keep it private, the second time I brushed it off, but this time I just lost it because it's like blatant now. I guess you get use to it when you're a guy because I'd be lying if I said I never let something slip out too, but I do apologize and make sure it doesn't happen again. Not gonna lie though, you're right about not wanting to look like a beta, the situation with the girl is lowkey embarrassing. I've taken a ton of jokes about it, but it's been around other friends that know what happened so I never tripped out. My new roommate was already asking who she was and I'm sure he'd want to know the situation too, but I wasn't about to turn the guy talk into Marvin's Room...
