Baby mama just turned 17?! Damn. There's a lot of instances where people who can't afford to have kids do. One of my friends is in that situation and has to rely on family so much and I know he hates it. Dude does his absolute best but people have no idea how expensive it is to have children.

How would it be illegal? If the age of consent is 16... and she is 17.... she has the freedom to choose whoever she wants to be with.
Some states do have "max age" laws but those laws usually only apply to those 30y/o and up.
