Google just did some creepy ish...

What'd it do ?

Aight, mad late, I know.

So I'm at work NTing, listening to slacker radio(Yes, I like slacker) on my phone. I was in that Reebok drop Ross thread and I was trying to find more info on why Reebok decided to stop making basketball shoes. While I'm googling stuff, a Bassnectar song comes on.

I get to google and type in, "Reebok drop Bas-", and google auto types Bassnectar. I'm like wha? So I go ahead and press enter to see if, I dunno, Reebok UK had an endorsement deal with Bassnectar. Nothing.

I thought it was weird. Of all the words that start with "Bas" it went straight to an artist that I was listening to on my phone....iPhone, NOT connected to my work PC at all. I just did another search, typed in "BAS" and Bassnectar did not come up.

next time you and your friends are talking about some random ****, Google something you were speaking out loud about.

I have counted the last 6 times I used Google in a social setting, it correctly predicted what I was going to type within the first 3 letters. no matter what random, off the wall **** it was. me and my girl were talking about our dog trying to chew rocks the other day, I go to Google it and by the time I typed "can dog" it had autofilled "chew on rocks".

I'm confident that our cell phones are listening to us at all times, and the addition of front facing cameras on nearly every handheld device that is "always on" is another method of tracking... people tell me I'm crazy but then I show them trapwire and they change their mind immediately.
