I did/do miss the thread, I just couldn't keep up with it regularly.
I thought about posting last night and venting like crazy over a breakup
I appreciate the irony since girl problems on NT can get old and I found them tiresome but oh well.But yeah, I'm working a ton and was doing great with a girlfriend, but that ended this weekend. I'm pretty bummed but I kind of saw it coming. She just said she wasn't feeling that same spark and connection she used to feel and that she's been so torn and busy with school and work as well. We talked for like 3 hours and both wanted to figure out something, but we realized there wasn't anything we could do. I'm not mad at her, what can you do if that's how someone feels? But still disappointed that's how things turned out. She said she hopes she can feel that way about me in the future and that I was the best guy/boyfriend she's had.. so I got that going for me
I want things to work out and maybe in the future they will, but I also don't want to get too hopeful and end up disappointed down the line. On the flipside, I don't really want to just say "**** her" and try to move on right now because we do work together, we were great friends, and I'd still like her to be in my life.. but I'm sure it'll just be harder if I try to keep things as "normal" as possible.
Basically, it sucks right now, and if I try to cut things off entirely and move on.. it'll suck right now. Then again, if I prolong things and hold out hope, it'll just suck later if it doesn't work out. But right now I'm going to be in the denial/hopeful stage and hope it works out

Thanks, everyone. It definitely sucks, but as break-ups go.. **** could be worse. She didn't cheat on me, wasn't mean to me, all she did "wrong" was be more reserved and withdrawn at times and it turns out that was for a reason.
You can't make someone feel that way about you. She said she felt it at first, so there's always hope she'll feel it again. I'm just bummed things are ending right now.
