He mentioned there were certain customers that would go everyday and spend 10 minutes placing their numbers. They would all come at a certain time like a rush hour and bombard him with numbers. That would prevent him from tending to his other customers and manage the gas pumps. He was a one man show.

luckily I start work at 7 and there's a bus that drops me off close to work.
waking up at 4, catch the bus at 5 then working a 12 hour shift
can't complain too much, people are driving down from LA and LB.
