You go tell your counselor I messed up on FASFA, I'm not an independent and they fix it.
Being independent/dependent doesn't affect how much money you really get unless you've reached your aggregate unsub and sub loan amount limit which is only possible if you're like a 5th or 6th year senior or go to a super expensive university solely on federal loans.
