It is tho. That **** is sad to see, but what did the police think was gonna happen with all that military-style presence? It's like they don't understand these are people that have had their sense of safety n well-being compromised. How else should they feel? I don't agree with the rioting n looting, but when you are angry, you act on emotion n more times than not you do things you wouldn't do with a level head. everything man. the straw that broke the camel's back was when the GF demanded that I cut my vacation with my siblings short because her "friend" won concert tickets
haven't seen them in years, planned the vacation for 6 months, her friend wins tickets less than a week before, then I suddenly have to cut my lake front/ATV filled vacation so she can be back in the city.
on top of that, when she does go to the concert, I gotta pick her and her drunk-driving friend up because she hit a car, a pole, and went the wrong way down a one way.

I just had this conversation with my mom driving home tonight. Observing police here is the same way. They patrol at night and give off a militaristic feel.
