I was in a similar situation. Don't get mad at him, his girl made the decision on some "I dont know that chick that well, therefore she cant come"

I might be a lil bias tho I'm getting married next saturday and have had to tell people they cant bring their girls
So i understand where your boy is coming from
weddings aren't cheap and having to pay for people you barely know, girlfriends that might not be around a month from now etc just doesn't make sense

if ya gf or whoever doesnt understand how expensive it is tell her to cover the cost of her plate (when your boy doesnt even kno her or if she will still be your gf next week this time) & im sure the convo will be dead soon
weddings & funerals are 2 things i cant deal with going to unless i HAVE TO GO too many dead friends & too many divorced bitter relatives & friends
