Dang, I can only imagine how hard that must've been. My grandma just turned 90 and whenever my professors talk about death in the family as an excuse to miss exams I can't help but entertain the thought of her passing, even for a little bit. I know I shouldn't think like that but it scares me sometimes. I'd be torn apart if I had to choose between her and school.Both my grandfafhers, because of school.regret regret regret.

It broke my heart for sure. One just died in late November, and his funeral was during my finals week. That ruined me to not be able to see him one last time since it's too hard to travel halfway the world.
And my other grandpa died the day before my 15th birthday 8 years ago.
and I was starting school during the time of his funeral. My family -- especially my grandma -- insisted that I don't miss school and told me how mad my grandpa would be at me if I didn't attend my first few days of school.
