Do the test and then weigh your options. Did it just flood again and that's what they mentioned the previous mold?

Wasn't even thinking about this. Going to get it done.
Quick and easy fix, plus the company that serviced it were the ones that did a terrible job installing it.
I have no clue at what point the mold came in. Dude just happened to come upon it while ripping out the water damaged drywall in the ceiling.
Probably been ethering me with the spores for months now

Good question for TAN.
Water pipe busted in the crib.
Flooded a decent amount of the basement carpet (I stay in the basement).
They also found a decent amount of mold.
Estimated the removal at 5k. People have no intention of doing it until this Fall.
I have 18k in student loans.
I have 12k towards paying said student loans.
I wont graduate with my bachelors until some time next year (will have my associates in Computer Science this year).
That means my payments are deferred until I get my bachelors.
I make 43k/yr with a raise coming very soon.
Should I just move out? Sitting in the crib with a damn breathing mask on

You currently pay no rent?
You are solely responsible for the $5k payment?
If you are paying rent right now then def just move out. If you rent in this basement is dirt cheap just ammortize the $5k into the rent over the time you would have to stay and compare it to rent at a new place.
If you own the house you are going to need to fix that anyway so fix it
If you are currently paying no rent to live there then you have a dilemma. $5k is nothing compared to what you would pay for rent. So if you move out you pay around $800 a month in rent. You wont' graduate until next year lets say 12 months ($9,600). Pay for the mold removal would save you $4,600 over 1 year's time.

Its a damn shame how little work I have to do for my current job. I spend a max 16-18 hours a week actually working and that includes me sitting in meetings. And I work from home 2-3 days a week... It sucks I may have to give it up at the end of the year...

I've been here almost 2 months and they just finally got my account working properly so I can "work." And even still, it's IT so I'm sitting at a desk all day. Got me Dameware so I can remote in everywhere, so I'm good. I need to get my *** in Grad School so I can be maximizing this time doing homework before they start making me super busy

Live with fam, pay absolutely no rent just help with groceries and throw them some cash when they need it.
Not responsible for the mold removal either.
The city I stay in CoL is extremely low, but your financial breakdown isn't too far off and greatly appreciated
