depends really. americanized filipinos really stick out like a sore thumb in a crowd. folks in the PI have this belief that if someone is american, they are rich af (when that's not really the case lol). i tried to blend in as best as i can & never spoke a word of english whenever i was back in the philippines because "foreigners" are an easy target for robbers & vendors who tend to up their prices like crazy. 

for the most part though, people are very friendly, you just have to be extra careful.

One possible explanation for foot fetishes is that on the brain's sensory map the feet/toes are located right next to the genitals. So stimuli received by the feet could be received by the genitals as well.

I'm sure it's not that simple and doesn't explain everyone's reason for having a foot fetish, but it's a start.
