I'm Indian (but grew up in Cali my whole life) and she is Korean/Japanese. Met her while I was working abroad in South Korea. It's not unexpected or anything but it's just such a hard situation to deal with. Dealing with this sort of stuff head on is the only way but am inherently non confrontational.

Ahh, man. Two totally different cultures that have very strict traditions when it comes to dating.

Is her ethnicity the main reason why your parents won't meet her? I mean, I didn't think parents would be as strict on their Indian son, than their Indian daughter. But anyway, how is the communication with her side of the family? Any better?
