Man, this talk about basketball just made me remember the last time I played ball, about a yr ago. It was me and my 25 year old cousin (americans) against my 15 and 17 yr old cousins (the brits) .
My 15 and 17 yr old cousins are actually pretty good, and out of the four of us, the 15 yr old is actually the best and the most athletic player. The 17 yr old is decent but not as good as I was as a 17 yr old.
Anyway, in comparison, I'm an old man (I'm 31, 30 at the time) who only plays once a yr, and the 25 yr old is still pretty good but never plays anymore. We're both rusty as hell, so we get our butts handed to us the first game, 11-7...
We were going to just take our L and go back inside the house, but then the young uns started talking trash like you wouldn't believe. [emoji]128514[/emoji] 'You old men need a retirement home' etc etc
The 25 yr old cousin and I looked at each other like, na we got to teach these young dudes respect. And it was like we turned back time.
I hadn't touched the ball in a yr at that point and just the game before I felt like trash. Then I was making every shot, on fire, and my other cousin caught fire too. It felt like I was back to playing ball all the time now. We beat the babies 11-0. We were bragging for the rest of the family reunion [emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji]
It was nice to have had this moment. Probably will never happen again. Next family reunion ima probably be 36 and all these kids will be running circles around my old ***

used to play weekends at this place and theres one black american who plays there too. he talks a lot and and was always neutral when it came to 50-50 calls between the chinese and filipino folks. [emoji]128514[/emoji]
funny at that court all these middle aged chinese guys play, we would always beat them with athleticsm but we couldnt play d 100% on them cus they call fouls easy.
it was better if you played with younger guys, college or sometimes hs kids, cus u can play more normal. singaporeans, vietnamese, malaysians, those were great games.
