The fact that they're ignorant shouldn't bother you. Off course it seems like a waste of time, but took it as a development of yourself and not the other, like hell you were trying to give her an instructive on some important **** and she doesn't want to listen, so be it, at least you kept the idea and who knows maybe you'll dig a little more on it, in order to gain some knowledge and get better basis to talk with someone that knows about it and then voila , you got some valuable experience from other ... and it all began with that dumb *** girl
My girlfriend's sister does this type of ish, but she cuts me off/follows up with another question about me. She'll just ask me 100 questions about my life, but never actually take anything I say in. Anytime she doesn't actually respond to something I say its only because she has an opposing viewpoint, but she never actually is interested in a back and forth.
This past Friday she asked me what the deal was with Trump and the Paris agreement. I don't know much about it, but I try to give her what I do know. After a solid 30 second monologue trying to give her the facts she just goes "okay" and turns to her sister and asks her about something TOTALLY unrelated. Like no follow up questions or response or anything. I probably just could have told her Trump hates French people and that would have been sufficient.

What you mean being on top of everything ...Man jking's story is like the worst version of mine![]()

For he past couple of weeks my colleagues have been talking about their (bad) financial decisions.
Being frugal and always on top of everything when it comes to money, i didn't want to hear their failurs (even though they don't even realize they are making bad decisions).
Oh I'm not bothered by it. It just puts me in an awkward spot. Like either I'm gonna make attempts to have a convo with you and get blown off or give you short answers and come off rude. The fact that they're ignorant shouldn't bother you. I don't budget my money. But I have no debt, I have money saved for any emergency and I save another portion of it for traveling exclusively. I have a car with no debt on it. No place of my own and not planing in getting one in the near future. Still young and full of inexperience. What would be a good habit to take ?
If a coworker approached to me with one of that I would participate lol , they're normally pretty boring so better having some sort of something for a changewhat?![]()
People at your work are approaching you and asking you to pick a card, any card?
Will give this a try.I'd keep track of all expenses for 3 months. Then you will see where you spend, where you can cut.
Emergency fund is important but what about saving for the future (retirement, potential purchase?). I would take an amount that you are comfortable with every paycheck and invest it (etf or mutual fund) in a tax sheltered account.
Invest it before you can spend it. Still with your budget you'll know that you can still keep the lifestyle that you enjoy.
