The fact that they're ignorant shouldn't bother you. Off course it seems like a waste of time, but took it as a development of yourself and not the other, like hell you were trying to give her an instructive on some important **** and she doesn't want to listen, so be it, at least you kept the idea and who knows maybe you'll dig a little more on it, in order to gain some knowledge and get better basis to talk with someone that knows about it and then voila , you got some valuable experience from other ... and it all began with that dumb *** girl

Man jking's story is like the worst version of mine 
For he past couple of weeks my colleagues have been talking about their (bad) financial decisions.
Being frugal and always on top of everything when it comes to money, i didn't want to hear their failurs (even though they don't even realize they are making bad decisions).

For he past couple of weeks my colleagues have been talking about their (bad) financial decisions.
Being frugal and always on top of everything when it comes to money, i didn't want to hear their failurs (even though they don't even realize they are making bad decisions).
Man what happened with the guy that was gonna give financial advice. I need some of that
I hate to realize I wasted money somehow, in the long run it doesn't hurt but well I rather not be making those decisiones in the first place

I budget my money, save plenty for emergency / projects, have no debt, things like that.
These dudes were talking like they had everything covered when it's actually just a mess. Didn't want to come in and argue with them (can't show the way to somebody who doesn't want to see it).

I don't budget my money. But I have no debt, I have money saved for any emergency and I save another portion of it for traveling exclusively. I have a car with no debt on it. No place of my own and not planing in getting one in the near future. Still young and full of inexperience. What would be a good habit to take ?

Oh I'm not bothered by it. It just puts me in an awkward spot. Like either I'm gonna make attempts to have a convo with you and get blown off or give you short answers and come off rude.

I'd keep track of all expenses for 3 months. Then you will see where you spend, where you can cut.
Emergency fund is important but what about saving for the future (retirement, potential purchase?). I would take an amount that you are comfortable with every paycheck and invest it (etf or mutual fund) in a tax sheltered account.
Invest it before you can spend it. Still with your budget you'll know that you can still keep the lifestyle that you enjoy.

2. If I order food in my neighborhood I will walk and pick it up (saves gas/ kind of an excercise)
3. Cut my own hair

Will give this a try.
Haven't really thought about retirement I'm barely starting now and potential purchases I'm not so much into big purchases, even with a lot of disposable income I rather put in my savings account or something like that, with the years i would love to start investing in real state my mother did and she did pretty good, but I wouldn't like to get in debt for it, debt is hell ... I paid off all my student loans quite a few months ago and it didn't took me long (I put pretty much all I made to it and even some extra from shoes and ****) but it sure took a toll in my mental health and I was pretty stressed the whole process ... I can't imagine how a mortgage feels I remember when my 'father' left my brother with and I with my mom man I rarely remember seeing her, she was working all day everyday, sundays included, all because of that mortgage, she was doing well enough with us alone but our place was taking away all her possibilities.
So It's something that I would rather not experience
But sure Investing , smart investing is something I should be really doing

Small talk is only cool if the other person is actually listening, and it's two ppl getting a word in instead of one person just needing someone to listen

I don't have a budget per se. I just keep track of my funds. If it dips below a certain threshold I then ease up on the spending.

You ever wonder why some ppl become friends so quickly and other ppl just stay cool acquaintances even after years of knowing each other?
Like there's this dude at my job where we get along. We like the same things and when we see each other at work we can talk a while and it won't get awkward. But somehow I know we'll never be friends.
