I low key really enjoy the Joe Rogan podcasts. I could listen to them all day. Other then hunting everything he talks about interest me directly.
The one i was listening to today with Andy Galpin said one of the most significant predictors of how long you live is leg strength....interestingggg. Death has a lot to do with inability to walk and stand up when you get old. Foot speed is very important too from an old age perspective so you can not fall and break your hip.
This is interesting. The oldest people I've met are usually able to get around with ease. There's this 89 year old at my gym who looked like he was in his 50s. He's still traveling the world like every other week. My great uncle is in his mid 80s and gets around now problem.
On the contrary, my grandfather passed away this last month from brain cancer. He was diagnosed and operated on in may. After that surgery he started losing strength/weight very rapidly. The last couple of weeks he couldn't walk without help. Doctors gave him a year. Ended up only being 2 months.
