Got an unexpected gift in the mail from my dad's former employer. Not entirely sure why, there was no note included or anything. I spoke to some of the company staff earlier in the end of July regarding documents I required and they didn't mention anything about a watch. They did ask if they could have any remaining mourning cards if we had any left from the funeral. Those cards with a picture of him and some text, not sure if mourning cards is the right term. So I mailed a bunch to them. It seems a bit unnecessary to me as they already made us a nice gift around the time of the funeral. The company's name is on the back of the watch so I'm guessing perhaps they intended to give this to my dad as a company gift bonus at some point and decided to send it to me instead.
