There's a saying that goes "you can tell how rich a country is by measuring the wealth of the poorest man"
And I will say it again This country doesn't know what poverty is.
And then I'll say it twice, You don't know what poverty looks like till you travel abroad.
It's sad. Really Really Really sad :

But that's also dismissive of what's going on here and the problems we have here. That argument is used by people to dismiss activists/protesters/anyone making a stand for something.

"Don't like it here? LEAVE! You'll find out how good you really have it!" or "People would literally kill to come here and you're COMPLAINING?!"

The same people that get on their soapbox about not being in other countries and spending money on other countries and taking care of home first are usually right there spitting the opposite at people who are trying to promote doing just that.
