the thread about nothing...

So, I was listening to a podcast today where they were talking about Netflix throwing money at projects - and I've often wondered about them paying people (like Adam Sandler) tons of money and thought there must be a limit.

That got me thinking about how much they earn. You can find subscriber info online pretty easily - they have about 102m as of now. Let's call it $10 per month as an average (plans for 8-12 depending on number of screens) so long each month they earn over $1,000,000,000 - that's a billion dollars each month.

Yes, Netflix has all the monies.

Yes, but a recent article detailed how they are burning through a lot of money. Christopher Nolan actually criticized their plan stating they're not smart like Amazon, who has their films release in theaters and then added to their streaming service.

But I'm sure Netflix doesn't really care about burning through cash, with all the content and subscribers they have.

I don't have a Netflix account, just a really awful selection here and I'm not down to use a VPN

I just was involved in a car accident and my lawyer is asking about injuries. I need some advice so I can get the max dollar amount for my pain and suffering.

No doubt they're spending it - but it would appear for now that they can afford it - $1Bn a month will do that to you. We'll see how long that lasts though.
