the thread about nothing...

It's always the rubber neckers causing the traffic jam, rarely the accident itself.
Bruh I was on a 4 lane highway and the accident was on the opposite 4 lane highway!!! I was 5 mins late and had to piss so bad

Anyone here ever have success getting a family member to get in shape? My family has been on my dad for at least 15 years to lose weight and get in shape. We've had countless conversations. My mom has been through it with him countless times. I've tried shaming him, encouraging him, bribing him...hell he came to me last year asking for my help then never followed through. He's only 54 and I'd like to see him around for another 30-40 years if possible, but dude treats it like a joke every time I bring it up.

I mean he's went on mini diets where he'd lose 10-15lbs, but then it's back to normal.

I know, but I feel like the catalyst has to come from somewhere because he ain't gonna have an epiphany on his own.

Somebody keeps calling me every other day and i don't know who it is

it must be a house phone cause they're not texting when i don't answer

Trust it will happen. Wait until people he knows and is close with have health issues. Or god forbid he has a health issue.

My girls dad is on a mission right now to lose weight. He is 58 and is down 25lbs over 3 months. He is a big guy...prob 6 foot 5 and 280. Wants to get down to 230ish. He started this because his brother had a heart attack.

Mortality is a mother. Really puts life into a different lens when it hits close to home

You can't change someone, it starts within them.

You done ur part, theres really nothing else to do.
fax...it's damn near impossible to get someone to get in shape because it's a constant battle.
every day, every meal, every snack, and every workout is a battle for someone who is overweight and overeats.

you can't possibly be there for them 24/7 so it all comes down to them

See thats your mistake. That "somewhere" is within himself.

Bro i was over 300 pounds 2 years ago. Dropped down to 195. Its all bout dedication and how committed you are. Sure i had that family support, but they aint always gona be there. It is what it is... Not tryna be mean or a dck, its just you can only so so much
