Lol what does that say about humanity in general that ppl can't act nice without arousing suspicion and setting off alarm bells

I was kidding lol
But It was weird /refreshing tho. The grocery store I frequent...some of The cashiers don't eem look at you lol

Try the other stores.

Lol really though. Try them.

I will
I want to see if they're all like that

In two weeks i get my 8 weeks vacation. Took PTO for the day before since i had holiday hours that won’t roll over :lol

I get that though. Sometimes people truly try to force it and you can tell it's not really genuine. Unless you truly feel the need to say something you can leave it at "How's it going?" and "Did you find everything okay?"

Bruh i go to walmart and they supposed to bag your stuff for you. I always bring reusable bags. One day i put my bags there with everything i was buying, the cashiers scanning everything then just lining them up. At first i was like hmm maybe shell bag em after, strange but who knows.

She finishes ringing everything up then looks at me and says "oh yoyu want me to bag it for you?". Im dumbfounded, i said ya isnt that part of your job? She says something like well i didnt know. Mind you the two customers before me (both white, cashier as well) she bagged their stuff and asked them how they doing. Not even a hello to me, now i dont care you wanna say hi or not but bag my stuff.

So im like ohhhh i get it, cuz im not a white guy you dont wanna bag it for me huh. Lol shes like "stop it, i am not a racist!". I said oh so you just an ******* then? Just bag my ****...

Where I'm from, everyone is rude with strangers

I notice if I go to the Midwest or the south ppl are more polite and ready to make small talk

My cousin, who's from the south, says it's a double edged sword. Yes, ppl are polite to your face but will talk **** behind your back

I prefer it better when ppl talk **** to your face

The publix was in a shopping center.
There were other stores but I got the hell outta there.

I might investigate another store

Publix owns the whole shopping center. That’s how they do it.

This reminds of something I read earlier this week

People are asking Uber for a feature that will let the driver know if you want to socialize with them or not before they pick you up.

I mean I get the "being TOO nice" suspicion. You have to make it sound natural and not too forced or else it comes off as a little creepy. Like with the guy saying he had to try out how sc kid cooked the meat, nobody ever says that.

I can understand that.

What if you're having a bad day....tired....low white blood cell count. Sometimes you just wanna ride and zone out.
