Lately after playing basketball, I've been getting callouses on my pinky toes. Is this because there's too much room for my toes in my kicks?

If anything I think they actually might be too big. I usually go up half a size for more wiggle room, but I think that's causing the problem considering I have two different pairs I use that are the same size.
