im a new yorker been there since the 90s 00s just moved to texas 2 months ago. not going back anytime soon. Texas living is better imo.
going to go there for vcay and see me friends and fam here and there.

facts man. it get real annoying casue dudes out there are heartless. especially the nypd. You can even get real fly dudes will be eyeing out on some streets is watching type steez gotta sleep with one eye sometimes.
getting to work and mainly relying on the transit system can be a chore.
its fun when u got the right group of people or support system around you. all my high school friends are still there but for me to advance in life i had to leave nyc. too many heads competing for one open job spot. aint worth it imo.

I feel you, I'm trying to find a way out Baltimore now, just have no idea where I should go. Only place I even looked into was DC cause one of my main homies moved out their a year ago and said they love it. They live on H street and whenever I go out their to visit its always a good time. Just know I dont want to be anywhere where the weather is the same year round
EDIT: plus ma dukes and the rest of the family is only an hour away

Moved to the States recently. No family or friends here, just colleagues. Not about to intrude in colleagues family time lol. Fams are on the other side of the world.

ive been out to DC and baltimore my older sister went Howard university for her college years. I dont know much about both places but baltimore was on some wire type steez from what she told me when she was in college but she stayed on campus.
Honestly i wouldn’t have moved to Houston, Texas if my family wasnt out here. i was thinking miami, south beach biscane bay when i went on vacay.
but ill go where the job prospect and where the money is at. everything else will fall in place i dont have a wife and kids so i can still live my bachelor life for now.

The hard lesson I've learned is it's hard to make new friends when you're older. It's like at a certain point in people's lives they've already carved out space for X amount of ppl and they can't add one more person to the mix.
Kids and teenagers have it easy because everyone they meet still has space for new people.
