the thread about nothing...

I'd never wish gout on anyone
A few uncles have it -- just terrible seeing them not being able to walk
They've gotten better by completely cutting out all meat except chicken
Man, I was heartbroken when the doctor told me my symptoms.

Still going to eat ribeye steaks and go to Korean BBQ joints. lol

See, I expect that behavior if I'm walking through the Mission lol.

Are you guys talking about San Francisco? I was there last yr on vacation... It's a nice place. Was surprised by the amount of bums you have in the nice areas though...

Lol ny do have their bums, but in the NY equivalent of those San Fran areas I feel we don't get the same amount of homeless people.

Can you elaborate more on the lost boundaries?

Great post too. Those topics should be separate NT threads.
i think I paraphrased what he said incorrectly :smh:  . Hopefully this makes sense. Story time y'all so buckle down and get ready to skip this post

So the full story is he was talking to a fam member and he brought up how nowadays boundaries that he once knew aren't what they are now. So he said why do you talk to your kids the way you do? You cuss in front of them as if they don't hear those words and won't pick them up and use them around you or not. The f.m. replied because they are just words. They don't mean anything. He then replied ok but you use them as adjectives and when you get upset in front of your kids. So now when your kids (young children 6& 8 )go somewhere like a party and you're not there, they'll use those cuss words and the parents at those parties hear your kids saying them. The parents will look at your child differently and not show them the same amount of respect that they would to other kids because they'll build up a boundary around your child because they talk differently (cuss at a young age) so they will treat your child as if they don't deserve the same respect because they don't respect others. He then said you (f.m.) are a teacher you don't talk like the way you normally would when you teach right? The f.m. said yes. He then said exactly because you want to have that boundary with your students. You are a person of authority so you show them respect by not cussing and they show you respect because they believe you deserve it.

TLDR: show respect to others by not cussing. They will show you respect more than a person who does cuss because it makes people look down upon someone. Idk if all this even explained it better than what I originally posted

I follow someone on NT and for some reason their picture is ALWAYS the first picture that pops out on my IG in the mornings when i wake up
:lol::lol::lol:
:nerd:
they watching you watching :nerd:

How is everyone doing on this wonderful Thursday? I'm off today and Idk what I am going to do today. Idk if I should go out and buy some clothes because now that spring/summer is around I need more button ups that are short sleeve.

I just realized I can't stand weddings. I can't get excited about celebrating a marriage like it's this gigantic accomplishment. All those fake bridesmaids talking about, "like oh my god, you're never gonna believe how crazy me and my bff Becky were back in the day and her and brad are gonna be like SO perfect together."

Thinking about every wedding I've ever been to, I only ever enjoyed sitting with the the old
Timers drinking whiskey and talking about how to make more money in life. I can go to any dive bar and do this and I wouldn't even have to wear a suit.

really? i love weddings. open bar and if they got a good dj or live band it's fun to cut up with everyone from old folks to kids on the dance floor
family and friends are there...what more can you ask?

are you close to the wedding party?

I was hung over for the last wedding... I didn't get to enjoy as much as I did. But the whole day looked nice.

I think that deep down, I don't really have family, so I'm generally not excited to celebrate with strangers like it's more than an excuse to get drunk. These people aren't important to me, so why should I pretend be excited that the wedding is, is how I feel.
