the thread about nothing...

Why do people insist on walking in the street when there's a sidewalk?

I always wondered this. Like i go for runs around my neighborhood and evne though the side walks can be a little cracked and strange i still run on them...other people straight run int he road...and there is no shoulder (tbh there is a super small one but a truck with those long side mirrors would still take your head off)...and im like yo...there is a sidewalk right there...why?

Houston is just built ******ed in general. Its almost like they didn't know Houston was going to be a major metropolis.

Edit: Damn you cant say the R word?

Running I can kind of get, but this lady was straight up leisurely strolling down the road. She was on the wrong side too. Gave me a dirty look when I passed her.

I'm gonna tell you a little secret. Houston has a very small number of actual homeless people. Unless you're downtown and its blatantly obvious, those people aren't homeless and probably not even drug addicts. Its so bad, theres a sign on 610 telling people to stop giving panhandlers money.

EDIT: On everything I saw a dude being for money in some Air Max 720s. They're barely old enough to be given away.

one of the biggest cities in america and terrible public transportation

I had a stint on the Metro. It was interesting to say the least.

Had the bus NOT show up on me a number of times. Also, had time where the bus driver would miss the stop because he was trying to make a pass. :lol :{

What you do?

Yes bus driver straight passed me she ain't even bother slowing down to see if some was there at the stop. I was tight cause I was tryna get home asap.

If I couldn't call anyone to pick me up or get lucky enough to see someone driving to work....**** just sit there and look stupid. Call in to the job and let them know I was gonna be late. Apparently, its a common thing because the job never tripped when I said that.
