The advantages really vary from credit union to credit union. Most of the ones I know usually drop direct deposits early. Some credit unions will post Friday deposits as early as Wednesday(I had a rush card and it did the same thing)! Mine pays on Thursday morning. Some CUs savings pay more interest, have better loan rates, no fees ect ect...
