I've been reflecting on 2018 as it winds down
It's kinda surprising to me -- the person I was at last year vs. who I am now
2 completely different people

You know what’s a got damn shame, De La Soul was/is one of the dopest groups. Ever. But if you aren’t old enough to see where these cats came from then you would see them now and not get it. For the longest I thought and still think (fight me) they were the best group out of Native Tongues. But no one will ever know, know why, most of their music isn’t available, not digitally and that’s a damn travesty because those dudes are criminally slept on.

I think Magic told me in the rap thread its because of sampling issues that their music isn't as widely available on streaming services. I'm good either way because I have all their albums but it is sad their not heralded enough. I'm not putting them pass Quest though
