the thread about nothing...

If they are childhood friends, it might be a bit different. I think as an adult, your primal instincts take over and more of your decisions are based on improving your chances of survivial.

Well, they're high school/college friends so I guess that applies.

I haven't really made any new friends as an "adult".

Would you agree that most friendships are based on what one party can do for the other, such as in case of emergencies or need of help?

I’d say the opposite actually. Most friendships are based on bonding over shared experiences. As most of us get older this bonds diminishes due to time and to lack of repeated experience. I never really rely on friends at all for any emergency situations. That sort of reliance was possible when people all lived in the same town and had a community of friends and family. Now, our generation has mainly created a lifestyle where we’ve uprooted these communities and go to where we economically have the best chance. Thus the rise of apps etc that support us instead of people.

It saddens me but hopefully the pendulum swings back in our lifetime to where we embrace the sense of community we once had combined with the simplicity and quality of life increase all this tech has given us.

I always wondered if this scene was real or not lol

It's gonna feel weird not having to wake up early for work tomorrow. I gotta be productive with the time not spent looking for a job

Ordered from BWW for the first time in years (I think I had it 2 years ago with some coworkers after work...haven't ordered it for home consumption in at least 7 years).

First of all, how do you get rid of half priced wing Tuesdays? 2nd of all, the food is as terrible as I remember. The service even worse.

Went there about 20 minutes earlier than my "promised ready time" as shown online. Pay for my food...chick says it's not ready, just give it a couple more minutes. I ask is that accurate (cuz this place is always a **** show with wait times on food as I have learned during my delivery days) and she looks up the order and notes the "promised ready time" and says so yeah, we're looking at 20 minutes.

No sweat...I'll go sit at the bar. Hope to have a beer and watch part of the game as I wait. Go to the bar...I'm there at least 10 minutes and no bar tender in site. Associates are sitting behind me doing their side work (wrapping silverware)...you'd think someone would mention we have a guest at the bar, but nope. Finally, bartender comes out and says "Are you MAQ25060? Cuz I was told to inform you your food is ready. I didn't even know I had someone at my bar top...Did you still want a drink?"

I said no. Thinking back, I should have said yes and stiffed on the tip.

You're the worst BWW.

I think I've had Wing Stop once in my life way back in 2007 when I was at Jackson State. Maybe I'll give them a try this year.

Next new years, I'm staying home. Just too much drama from people who know better |l Folks gotta learn to control their alcohol
