It's crazy how much OT these people get doing this. You would think that they won't be functioning right after double or triple OTs which is a big risk.

The 10+ years he's been there, only one person died and he was about to retire too.

Currently, no. But if I am say around his age or younger and do not have an established career, I would consider it. I would try plumbing or flooring first though, if I were to learn a trade.

I think it goes by how much time out from in between the next shift starts. Sometimes there's no time off in between and just stay working. Im not sure how they calculates it. Firemen gets a lot of it too during fire season.
