He's not saying "you can't watch the video without buying the shoe". Which is apparently how we both interpreted it initially.
He's saying that you literally have the ability to avoid watching the video.
And you literally have the ability to not buy the shoe.
The "it be" was always the most annoying part to me.
He's missing the point that people simply don't want the shoe to exist. His argument is like saying "if you don't like kkk rallies, them just don't go"
It's almost like a grammar version of an optical illusion. If it wasn't for the disdain in second part, I wouldn't have figured out what he meant.Ahh, I see it now.
