Am I commuting a "bad" act by being more partial to applicants that come from a certain background?

I mean I am supplying someone an opportunity to make money and improve their family's situation, so it is a good thing right?

As long as it’s within the parameters of the job. For example, you’re hiring two applicants, both equally qualified, one white and one black and you say, “I’m going to hire the brother. It’s hard out here..”. That’s an absolute fact. It sucks but it’s real. So, no it wouldn’t be a bad thing. Now on the flip side, if you didn’t even look at homie’s application to see if he’s even qualified and you just hired him because y’all look the same, now you’re in ****** waters. I mean, if said person just got fired or quit in 2 weeks, did you really help them out?

As far as “grey areas”, outside of extremes, if you step back, take an honest, selfless look at thing, it probably really wasn’t that “grey”. Lack of accountability has become a norm nowadays.

As long as the applicant fits the skill set your looking for, improving on someone else’s life because they are from a particular background I see absolutely no problem with, is that not the way it should be done.

This country was built on the singular idea of “it’s not what you know it’s who you know” the problem is people from certain backgrounds don’t really “know” the right people, that’s where you step in now.

Not talking this case in particular but I had a lot of difficulties with the fact of being partial. All my bad chiefs were partial. Acting according if you were friendly to them or not. And all the good ones were impartial. Which means they might not appreciate me, but they never did feel it in their actions towards me. Being partial go with emotions, and I like reason. Reason is like logic, it's predictable, reassuring. Emotions could lead to strategies for people who know about it. Like being dressed a certain way in order to pity a social worker or something. It could be linked to positive racism and quotas. Problem of quotas is you don't know if you got the job because you were qualified for it or just because they need someone from diveristy. So it could be a problem, because no discrimination means no discrimination, even positive. And does discrimination is a problem to us if we could take advantage of it ?

You live with other adults. Whether its spouse or roommate. Something runs out. Is finished by the other adult in the home. Do yall expect that adult to tell yall that more of that item is needed, or do yall take it upon yourself to keep inventory of every item in your home to know when you need more?

Someone needs to create a bot than randomly selects answers to complete multi-paged surveys.

none of it even applies to me, it was all about safety and load securement of equipment on trailers for new people.
