the thread about nothing...

I think Tinashe & Charli XCX are victims of being ahead of their time. Songs, catchiness, distinctness, performance.Tik Tok just blew up this song recently. It was sitting at 2 million views for years, and when 1st heard it I thought "to the moon she goes" & nope. Took 4yrs to reach millions.

In the past 2 years I've heard artist that clearly listen to their music. Emphasis on the "clearly", but they are not giving those 2 their credit :smh:

After saying “getting away from God”, I turned it off when the bleeped AND edited the word sex. I truly don’t care for their opinion.

marikomorose marikomorose you can keep Rihanna

Talking about Rihanna it's funny because at her beginnings she wasn't into this "sexy" way of being, it must be her "good girl gone bad", I think her career twisted with Umbrella, I could be wrong. Even if I prefer Rihanna to Beyoncé, I think both are overpriced. Alicia is pure beauty, no need cheat codes.

That’s because she was around 16-17 during her 1st album.

Yea they do that so the video doesn’t get demonetized for being inappropriate. I didn’t care for the commentary but just thought the video was wild to show 1st graders

Rihanna took control of her image & funded her career personally around the "Good Girl Gone Bad" era b/c the label didn't believe in her. This is why she's so rich off of music. Yes she has a machine, but it's mostly her. She

I have the same birthday as Alicia Keys, and in the interviews I've seen of her, we pretty much act the same, and I tend to find it somewhat off putting. I always have. Laidback & interpersonal, but still very distant.

I've never been into women that damn near exactly reminded me of me, or at the very least in the sense of being very laidback b/c it forces me to not be & I don't care for that. Like the times I've had to do group projects w/ shy ppl. Laidback & shy isn't the same thing. But yeah, I'd prefer for my partner to be the mouthpiece & I'll take over when necessary, and judging who she married she's the same way. Beautiful woman though.
Yes I am agree it would be terrible to be in couple with someone like us, I think what we search is something different, some complementarity. Yes don't care about something and be shy are 2 different things and being in a group project when you don't care is no fun both for you and the others I suppose  Plus when you don't care and have to deal with people who cares could be a pain, but if you both don't care and have no patience and they care and are shy, it means a lot
About a talentuous woman who doesn't seem to care a lot : Erykah Badu. Snoop's song " Leave Me Alone " quite reflects my state of mind at work, " I just want to be left alone ", Kokane was already singing in Hennesey'N'Buddah

This album is 🔥 thanks to Kokane no doubt.
Yes, distant women, it's not specially appealing.

you are still soft. death sentence is a gift and an easy out. I would go for torture or fear factor for eternity. although I'd give them a pass if they were someone like DEXTER MORGAN.
Or Final Destination without dying, but each time they're supposed to die they really feel the fear
I'm fine with S.O.S probably the first music video I've seen her and I liked. Disturbia got me all too cringy, so no thank you.
When I saw Disturbia at the time I was thinking to myself she was doing too much. Like others before her. You could do a lot and that's not a problem, but it depends. When Dr Dre and Cypress Hill made the Checkmate video I enjoyed it like the most famous video of Psycho Realm in the hospital. But Madonna and Rihanna, no thanks. I like some songs of Rihanna, but I never listen to her intentionaly. As I'm single I wouldn't have to do things I don't want to do. And there's a lot of singers, in fact I must discover new singers because I'm always listening the same things.

Some artists make music or the masses, some make music for other artists.
Yes, specialy rappers, a lot of rappers inspire other rappers without knowing success, but those ones could succeed. The Game is famous for (too much) name-dropping as soon as possible, at least at time, I don't listen to his music.
Here some successfull ones pay tribute regularly to ones respected but who didn't hit success at the time.

I have to ask it : why some famous rappers look like broke people on meth ? All these young rappers, some of them, if we weren't aware they were rappers we would confound them no doubt with everything but rappers. Some use tatoos like drawings with brands on their skin like Nike or Gucci. Just why. I have nothing against tatoos. But all this colors in hair + disgusting tatoos + skittles look + garbage music...Why it has to be called rap ? Let's invent another term for them and let us them do their things for themselves. Like when you have a kid and he trying to do something no one kid could never do, but you love him so you encourage him anyway.

Compensation. They know they’re not really that good so they going above and beyond to sell it. Especially all the “lil” dudes. Look at rappers you KNOW are about that life, then look at them. It’s obvious.
