I was completely calm and that alone seemed to really piss him off. I made sure not to say anything overtly provocative but I was sort of trying to goad him into making his threats more explicit.I doubt he'll do some screaming once the police are involved. I would even piss him off saying you don't sound that tough against the police.
That dude needs serious helpI was completely calm and that alone seemed to really piss him off. I made sure not to say anything overtly provocative but I was sort of trying to goad him into making his threats more explicit.
At some points in the recording I said things like "Oh you're going to what? Come say that again?" and the idiot would make his threat even more explicit and get more pissed off in the process.
I don't know if this would count as entrapment but I want to suggest to police that they question him without first telling him that all his threats are recorded, I think the odds are pretty good that he'd lie. Either way he's ****ed.
The guy's a total nutjob, I wouldn't be surprised if they have to restrain him while interviewing him.
Some direct quotes from the recordings (all separate threats made at various points throughout the recordings):
"I hope I can catch one of those guinea pigs so I can beat them to death on [my mom's] face"
"Don't start talking to me about things you have no business with or I'm going to destroy all your stuff"
"Don't lie to me buddy or I'll clobber you right in your face"
(halfway steps into my house and makes a fist gesture)
"I really want to buddy, really."
"I'm going to **** you up"
Me: Oh you're going to hit me? Come say that again?
"Yes, I really want to"
"I warned [my mom] that if you say that again I'll come clobber those guinea pigs to death on her head, personally"
"Yeah I'm going to beat your head in with them. Believe me."
sorry you're going thru this fam. Even if it's over small situations, people like that will take it to the extremeThis was literally my second time ever talking to this neighbor tooThat dude needs serious helpsorry you're going thru this fam. I can relate to you since we had that kind of neighbor some time ago. thought the guy was ok til he went completely Karen. that is why we are now so careful with so-called friendly neighbor that turned out to be psychos. having said that, I really wanted to break that neighbor's face but having a shouting match doesn't give me enough reason to get into a justifiable physical altercation. but I guess they know their limits and can only do so much than bark without any bite. I was hoping for a bite and get that anger out of me or teach that guy a lesson. but having a record like that is not worth it. like I said, I was only waiting for a reason to act in self-defense. there are lots of Karens out there, male and female.I was completely calm and that alone seemed to really piss him off. I made sure not to say anything overtly provocative but I was sort of trying to goad him into making his threats more explicit.

Some of the sentences might sound a little weird in English, he was speaking in dialect so I just took literal translations.

Someone once told me he went to the barber shop but his normal dude was busy so he went to another guy. Midway through the haircut he told him to stop and he’ll wait for his guy

Weirdo neighbor just came to my door again screaming at my mom and later myself. Apparently our guinea pigs had accidentally escaped from the backyard onto theirs and he's out here literally screaming about how he's going to take the guinea pigs and beat them to death on my mom's head. Screaming is no exaggeration btw.
I'm in the process of building some extra fencing in the backyard but it isn't entirely complete yet.
I've had enough of this pathetic manchild, I recorded the conversations and counted 8 explicit and direct threats to physically beat either my mom or myself, along with another threat to destroy our home. He kept screaming "go ahead, go ahead and call the cops, I'll gladly talk to the police and tell them why I'm pissed" but never realized I was (legally) recording the entire conversation.
Monday I'll turn over the recordings to our local police department, we'll see if he'd still gladly talk to them.
Oh his wife was there too after some time. She wasn't really yelling but was taking his side the whole time.At least it’s a man
My crazy neighbor is a woman.
All I can do is try and ignore it.
Lol mid-way through the cut and he’s likeSomeone once told me he went to the barber shop but his normal dude was busy so he went to another guy. Midway through the haircut he told him to stop and he’ll wait for his guy

lol did this too. I wasnt a regular at this place so I didnt have a guy. But dude was cutting me, I stopped like 10 minutes in and switched to another barber. I still gave the first guy half the money though when I left. Bruh now that I think about it, I was 16 and did this to grown menSomeone once told me he went to the barber shop but his normal dude was busy so he went to another guy. I didnt have time for amateur hourOh his wife was there too after some time. She wasn't really yelling but was taking his side the whole time.
When the guy halfway stepped in my home and made a fist gesture towards me while threatenening to clobber me, she quickly commanded him to "get out"
When he punched my the wall, hitting my doorbell, she also quickly said "change your behavior"
At no point did she condemn his aggressive gesturing, physical threats, the screaming or the insults directed at my medical condition. At most she restrained him from some actions that were too far even for her.
The guy kept referring to me as a "handicapped monkey", seemingly being aware of my chronic medical condition. In her presence, while walking away, the last thing he yelled back was that people with disabilities are scum and worthless to society. No reaction from her.
I actually just found out that he also destroyed some of my frontyard property. A flowerpot that my mom decorated, something she values highly as decorating etc is her hobby, was shattered and appeared to have been harshly kicked.
When I'm going to the police with all my evidence and relevant supplementary documents, I think the wife doesn't have any clear criminal liability. At worst she said she'd be forced to kill those guinea pigs if the problem persists but unlike her husband, did not add that she'd be beating them to death on my mom's face.
I also just learned that Belgium does not have a law that forbids lying to police during interrogations (except filing false reports) so there goes my hopes of the neighbor further incriminating himself by lying to police about the things he doesn't know are on my secret recordings. We have perjury laws of course but unless you're under oath, we don't have an additional false statement law like in the US where you for example can't lie to the FBI.
I made an appointment with the police for next monday, their schedule for this week was full.
I'd be open to dialogue with the woman and have no intention to punish her, since she can at least somewhat form a dialogue and they have a 10 year old son.
I'll also ask the police if there are any circumstances in which I can brandish or fire my (legal) alarm revolver if he shows up at my door again yelling threats.
My goodnessBelgium he even stepped into your home and punched walls? I don’t think he’d walked out of my place after those actions.
My goal from as soon as I heard him yelling at my mom was to surreptitiously record the conversation to collect clear-cut evidence of criminal threats. At the time I quickly concluded that attacking him for stepping into my home/punching my doorbell was likely to complicate my scheme to get a bunch of criminal charges against him, and attacking first would perhaps open myself up to some liability. He stepped foot in your house in a threatening manner? I woudda decked that dude so hard in the face. People in NY always just waiting for someone to do something, foot in the crib would mean a machete and that foot would come off or you getting yo *** beat. If it were Flawda or sumn the toolies woudda came out.

For whatever reason I’m an extremely calm and collected person, I don’t really get angry in any situation.
