I was thinking about that yesterday - an interesting stat would be percentage of team points per game - MJs 30+ out of 90 is clearly more impressive than 30 of 120.

Today you have 40 (!!!) players averaging 20+ a game. 6 of them averaging 30+. 10 years ago only 9 players averaged 20+. Averaging 30 won you the scoring title no question. Crazy to see a sport change in my lifetime.
