It just a lot of mainstream music sucks nowadays, too manufactured. Lesser known artists are actually experimenting. Maybe a few well known are trying something different.

I think almost-free, universal access to whatever era, artist or song we want to listen to is the biggest issue. Nostalgia beats everything, and if you can tap into it… why give something new a chance?

Besides the fact there's so much new content out there, and people don't really need labels, the problem is that primary reason for creating and selling art can't be going viral and maximizing profits.
It's the reason why every ******* new film is animated, a superhero movie, or starring the same 7 actors.
Everything looks and sounds the same because they believe it's the formula to maximizing profits.

Fruitopia, a chilli cheese frito boat, sometimes a bag of Doritos with chill and cheese in it, and two fruit roll ups from the student store was my meal for 3 years until i was allowed to leave campus

Sobe Fruit Punch was my drink. Was sad when they went from glass bottles to plastic. Then completely discontinuing Fruit Punch. I don’t even see Sobe drinks in stores anymore.
