Guess this is the appropriate thread to rant. Last week I had a kidney stone infection and had to stay at the hospital for a day. My insurance sends me a letter saying my hospital stay was not approved because I still had one normal, functioning kidney. Now I gotta appeal and hope they accept it. Stressed out i'll get a crazy bill in the mail and I still haven't passed my kidney stone yet.

An update on my health insurance being trash. I looked at all my claims and it looks like my insurance doesn’t want to cover most of it. My hospital stay alone was over $19k and I think the catscan was over $4k. So everything is $26-27k. My account said I don’t owe anything at this time but i’m guessing next month it’ll change or the hospital will just bill me directly. Below is what the claim for my hospital stay showed.
