Im 2 and a half hours in to an Adobe Illustrator beginners class and I get the hype now. I just wish I could buy it flat out instead of a subscription. That **** is just straight greed. I wish we had a REAL president just once.

The subscriptions are od as hell man. It’s killer in construction equipment too.
We just got a new excavator IT HAS THE SOFTWARE IN IT already for gps dig control. Basically upload the plans and it won’t let you dig past the depth specified. We try to use it and it says contact dealer to upgrade subscription. Like spending 300k on it wasn’t enough.
It’s not like they own the gps satellites either. It’s just insane greed.
Back in the day you could just torrent adobe with an activation code.

Subscription pay models should only be for a continuously rendered service not tools for a service. That's like having a subscription for a ******* hammer. That and insurance are the things that need to be fixed around here.

there are free & one time paid alternatives that good substitutes outside of the subscription cartels #doyagoogles to find the one that suits your needs

Imma check out the free photoshop apps but theres now way the free stuff is doing some of the stuff Illustrator is doing. Tbh Id gladly pay $800 for it flat out.

yea it’s hard to find a singular program that will do what adobe illustrator does, but if you really want to avoid the subscription model there are a suite of free apps that can come fairly close with the downside of more complexity & less compatibility across that suite of apps vs adobe’s just depends on what you trying to do & how efficiently you want to do it
