Had an allergy attack in both my eyes that started Saturday and progressively got worse up to today until I went to urgent care. Eyes were so red, swollen, itchy, burning and leaking that my primary doctor thought I had pink eye. Fortunately it wasn’t as the discharge is clear (tears if anything) but this has been worse than the injury/surgery I posted about last year/this year. Doesn’t help I’m still in a boot and using crutches trying to walk again on both feet. Had to keep my eyes closed for almost the past 4 days or they would pool with tears to the point it was coming down like I dipped my forehead in the sink while being unable to see.
Think the attack happened due to the hvac replacement that happened the end of last month as that’s the only thing that’s been different.
I’ve lost my taste and smell before for over a month due to Covid and I would gladly take all of that again over not being able to see. I’ve developed even more empathy for people that have a disability and even more for people that are blind. My sense of direction was absolutely in shambles and if I didn’t have my family I really don’t know what I would’ve done.
Extra strength eye drops as well as some prescribed by the doctor has me able to see again and even able to post. Still clearing up but I was able to see my family’s faces again and I was afraid I wouldn’t.
Sorry for the sad and long post. I did miss NT as this is almost a second family.
