sorry to beat a dead horse and I swear I won't keep this long.... but today was my last day at work and now I get to go to my new job which I start on Monday which is more money and closer to the crib... I got to say goodbye to my coworkers, took some pics with them today and a few of them even treated me for lunch last week and this week...I gave a select few who I am cool with a thank you note with my contact info...my manager all of a sudden was nice to me my last 2 weeks and was saying like ya hit me up in a year if you want to come back...I'm like ya aite bet but in my mind I'm like you crazy! and next friday I even get to go to the company christmas party as a plus 1 with some chick in the warehouse...no I don't know her but saw her pic and she looks cute... my coworker who I am cool with set me up with her...the only thing I am salty about but its whatever is that I am not getting paid thanksgiving and black friday and only paid for these 3 days... the HR did that on purpose to save the company money so I was like ok you gon be like that... they sent me an exit interview request and I respectfully declined just to be petty... theres no benefit for me to do it and its not like they helped me out at the end

You should’ve just told them your last day would be Friday anyway and not even have gave them a 2 week notice. Your manager burned that coming byke bridge so why be courteous?
Regardless, we happy for you pa but forget about the old place and focus on the new.

^ I spoke to my manager about giving my 2 week notice... I told him verbally and he said to write an official 2 week notice so that's what I did... he even recommended to put black friday as my last day even though its a holiday and he would talk to HR to pay me for those 2 days....that's exactly what I did but HR shut it down and was like nah your last day is Wednesday and thats it... they even told me like look if you push your new job start date to 12/2 just one day then yes we can pay you for Thanksgiving and Black Friday... but I didn't want to ask my new job to prolong my start date even though it was for 1 day and not only that but my old job was trying to inconvenience me by delaying my start date just to pay for those 2 holidays so I was like nah I don't care about the money I'm out...my manager did try to talk to the CEO and HR to make a exception to pay me for the 2 days but they were like nah thats the policy... and he wasn't capping cuz I talked to the HR and they confirmed he tried to vouch for me... so its whatever
